Established in 2005 the work of HoughtonBudd Architects is driven by a desire to achieve the highest quality of design and construction, combined with efficient project management and an understanding of the clients requirements and aspirations.
All projects are treated as bespoke commissions, with a consistent emphasis on the careful and appropriate choice of materials in response to their use and purpose. Projects are also often informed by found conditions, existing spatial arrangements or material conditions are used to create new configurations that are both challenging yet rooted in their setting.
We are committed to providing the same level of involvement with every client, and aim to be actively involved in every stage of each project regardless of its complexity, scale or budget and have completed projects across the UK.
In tandem with practice we are actively involved with architectural education and currently teach at Kingston University where both Andrew Budd and Jane Houghton are senior lecturers.
The practice is registered with the RIBA
